Filter feeders

Filter feeders, distantly related to the predators I just recently posted, though their back fins have evolved to have a membrane that acts much the way a squid or cuttle fish fin does. They are propelled mainly by their rear flippers. The boney plating is not as heavy and thick in these species than the active predators.
